“It's disappointing that in Indy we had a good chance to get some points back, but now it's finished our championship” – Casey Stoner.

These things happen in racing, especially motorcycle racing and you just have to cope with it as best you can. Sadly, it puts an end to what might have been a sensational end to the season. Casey won Bridgestone's 1st MotoGP championship which led to Bridgestone's present role as tire provider to the series. I hope that Bridgestone feels really proud of the way they screwed Stoner and Honda over this year.
More importantly I wish Casey Stoner a full and rapid recovery from his injuries.

I hope he calls it a day. No point racing anymore this season for casey.

Go back to Aus early and do whatever hugely exciting things you had planned for the rest of your life.

P.S. atleast he now has something to actually moan about!

I think now the title's gone he'll be happy to just come back and win at Phillip Island for a last time to see out his career.

Sad that the season has gone this way for him, but it takes the pressure off in a way. He can maybe just enjoy his remaining rides when he comes back, and not have to worry about points.

This sucks.

But now it's time for Dany to STEP UP! He's got a really good chance if he can keep it at the same high level as last week. But it must be every week. A defining time in Dany's career i reckon.

@Ladas,it's important to note that even in those years where his overall results ended up worse than previous years, Casey still regularly won races and made podiums. Just sayin.
