Moody and Ryder predicted he'd do this during Qualifying on saturday. obviously they didnt account for him racing on sunday but they were saying at this point in his career why risk anything, he'd be best to take the time off, get it fixed, come back a race or two before Phillip Island to get his eye in then blitz everybody there as his grand finale.

it's a just shame really as now it's solely a two horse race, which you can only realisticlly see one horse winning.

I don't blame him thoguh, why would he risk crippling himself?

Fair enough. Injured at Indy was an option to race as its a lefty track. No way the right hand circuits are an option immediately afterwards.
I hope he can be back at Aragon. It would be nice to see a hat trick.
As for the title chase. Sure its over for him barring a catastrophic scenario involving both George and Dani and we don't need nor want that. Crikey,I hope all the riders can stay in one piece until seasons end.

Come on Cal, now's your chance to steal an easy podium over the next few races, Casey's out of the running and your true potential is no longer being "limited" by the old brake callipers anymore, show us why you should've had that factory ride that you kept saying you deserved!

I am not really a Stoner fan but this sucks for his final season. And I wish him a speedy recovery so he can race again before seasons end.
I would just like to ask all the Stoner fanboys though, if they are going to apologise for suggesting Rossi's accident in 2010 was because of the pressure from Jorge. As it now seems like their hero has gone the same way???

Truth is, the pressure from Pedrosa was really getting to Stoner.
Last year before Dani was taken out by Marco, Dani was in front of Stoner in the championship (Stoner 47 points, Dani 61 points)
Stoner didn't ride well until Dani wasn't able to race-
Now that Dani is riding well WITHOUT injury, Stoner has been crashing left and right.

Lets face it - his heart wasn't in it anyway since he decided to retire becuase no one listened to his moaning. I doubt he was a serious challenger after that point so nothing has changed.

I'm not a Stoner fan but i think its a real shame for the spectacle of the sport - he was F A S T.

Some real idiots here.
I am a Stoner fan and wish Pedrosa and Lorenzo a good title battle. Lorenzo must be the favourite due to his consistency, but Pedrossa has his best chance ever for a title. To say this year's winner is undeserving is terrible. Stoner did crash all by himself twice when he could have taken it a bit easier. This is why Lorenzo will probably grab another title because he can calculate and ride without risk sometimes. No fan of either Spaniard but will be interesting to watch.
