Sadly looks like an early end for Casey,he was getting whipped by his team mate anyway,so no real chance at the title. Hope its not too long before we see a new aussie rider in moto gp . One with charisma would be nice

i keep hearing about how good and consistent jorge has been this year(which he has). But nothing about Dani.

He has only been off the podium once this year. And that was 4th in france

Big shame for Casey, but this championship aint finished yet. Come on Dani, fight to the finish.

That said i still think Jorge will do it

Sorry to hear Cassy is done...

No one wants to go out like this... truth is, he should sit it out until he is fully recovered, so not to have a limp or worse the rest of his life...

Ligaments take a long time to recover, way more then a broken bone, considering he gona retire... I hope he doesn't risk coming back to race any time soon if at all.

It seem Stoner had to learn the thumb braking like Doohan just for a few last races of the season to let his ligaments healing while he still riding the last rides.

He's a racer, which means he'll be back as soon as possible, but he really should just consider hanging it up and starting his new life with his recovery.

Ouchee, I went through bupa after a very similar injury from a fork lift accident at work, my ankle was busted (shattered) by 3 fractures a cm of bone chipped off and every vertebrae damaged. That happened 8 months ago and after 2 operations and months of physio, I have only just come off crutches! I still have tremendous pain even now but my 18k payout eased it somewhat :) I reckon though Casey will be finished from this and there's always the chance of problems recurring.

Casey best of luck in the future, he will be missed next year and i'm sure the other riders well feel like the competition level will be lower next year. I hope he can finish the season before he retires from the sport. Dorna is really screwing up Moto Gp at the moment so I can't blame Stoner wanting to spend more time with family.
