Rossi,Stoner and Lorenzo and and Pedrosa are all great riders, the problem with MotoGP is money and politics stop most of the talented riders who could challenge them getting a ride, back in the 80'syou needed to be fast to get a ride, then in the 90's you needed $$$ and now the grid reflects that, at least theres 2 or 3 who can win now, in Doohans time and Rossi's early yearsthey had no competiton.
Until ,and it wont happen, talent wins over money, the grid will never have all the best riders.

The Yamaha wasnt that bad when Rossi 1st went there,Biaggi used to be right behind him in most races, unlssyour saying Biaggi was making the yamaha look good like stoner did the ducati?
I cant wait for next year now, Rossi was shown up by Stoner when they first changed bikes, Stoner won the race on the Duc and was fastest in testing the next day, and Rossi went from being fast on the Yamaha to 15th in testing on the Duc.
Now if Lorenzo beats him next year the rossi goat will be truly buried.

Can't see Rossi winning another Championship.

Having Stoner on a Honda has made Lorenzo and Pedrosa lift thier game.

Be interesting to see if Rossi can beat Pedrossa next year.

re: "I think Jorge would honestly have preferred to keep Ben Spies as his team-mate."

of course he would. non-challenging, non-threatening, non-sponsoring 'mericans generally make the best 2nd seaters in the modern era.

"We have explained that we dont want to see any situations like Motegi 2010 where our riders will be endangering the result of the other"

Races like Motegi 2010 is the reason of why people keep watching MotoGP

Dorna's marketing machine really haven't planned for the future. They have put all their eggs in the Rossi basket when he is past his prime. Then allowed the media to tear shreds of Stoner because he doesn't have a huge personality when they should have promoted the fact that he can ride a bike beyond its limits. Lorenzo and Dani will no doubt be in the firing line next year. What if they get sick of the bs and retire as well? All that will be left in Moto Gp is a false hero and his yellow blinded fans for a year or two!!!

Will Rossi's Crash critics please put away their pins and voodoo dolls and recognise that watching Rossi's progression may be the only interesting factor in 2013 MotoGP.
The days of grids with decent numbers of riders are passed, and it may be some time before (if) they return.
Without VR's presence on a competitive Yamaha, watching Lorenzo and Pedrosa decide in the first few laps who will win, and then seeing one stretch away from the other, would hold attention only briefly, then the usual boring procession wwould follow.
Let us all be pleased at VR's return to Yamaha, and look forward to some hopefully close and unpredictable racing in 2014.

Stoner's personality make him a failure as the real GOD killer, and it backfired. Worse, now YELLOW worshipers try to resurrect HIM. It's Jorge sole task next year to assert the GOD demise. When Jorge said "I'd like to see Casey back to Duc, it would be kinda funny" seems suggest jorge and stoner will do the annihilation simultaneously both way. Alas it won't happen.

Hail to the new GOD KILLER! #99

re: "Jorge has two more years under his belt and is very fast and consistent."

good luck. rossi still has 7 years and 4 titles. 2 of which were already done on basically a 1000cc M1. vale OWNS that bike. now add 10 more cc's on top of pneumatic valves and the dude's going to cream his pants his 1st lap around valencia.
