MotoGP » Crutchlow expects 'definite' improvements after solid start

'I've got good pace on the soft tyre and I'm convinced I can be a bit quicker because I didn't put in a soft tyre until right at the end of this afternoon's session' - Cal Crutchlow

I think he only did one lap on a soft tyre all session.

There's some talk that the soft might be a viable race option on Sunday, so getting the hard tyre option dialled in might not be so critical.

Yeah, but, will Cal make a decent start this race or will it be more frustration for the British fans before the race has even reached the frist corner?

Cal made a great start to the season, but has since failed to sparkle. To keep his ride he needs to improve and above all threaten Dovi (as he did at the beginning of the season). I don't just want Cal to keep his ride, I want him to be a front runner, and there is something holding him back.

Dovi scrutinizes Jorge's data very closely, he knows Yamaha build their bike exclusively around him, and in order to exact the most potential out of the bike hes going to have to learn from Jorge how the bike can only be ridden. Ben Spies unfortunately is too stubborn to ride like Jorge, so he will continue to suffer on the Jorg'aha, unless the engineers come up with something clever or he goes to a track where his setup is more advantageous.

"IF" Cal does re-sign with Tech 3 I hope he puts up a Rossi wall between he and Ginger. Allowing Smith into MotoGP in 2012 is the biggest Ball Slap in history! So many riders infinitely more qualified for that slot!
