A decent decision from Honda but.....

Surely this ride should go to Toni Elias!!

He just proves himself time and time again.

I expect Carmelo will be quietly whispering
in Honda's ear that this is a spanish series
and Honda has a spanish sponsor to keep happy.

Toni Elias 2013 MotoGP World Champion!

And what about the rookie rule? Which forbids rookies to ride factory bikes and will be cancelled only from 2013? Oh, wait it's Repsol Honda.

mmm I think this topic is interesting.. I know that Rea is one great rider he also had one Motogp riding style is very smooth but Motogp is Motogp.. I dunno how he will feel on the motogp but he still had a lot to learn.. The first feeling that rider have when they take one Motogp is allways great feeling everythingh loocks very esay but then the crashs showup and the problemes come.. If he try the Honda with respect and just whanting to learn setp by setp like Bradl is doing this year he will be good, now if he go with the spirit of bad boy just trying to be good on the picture he will not be that good.. But its nce to wach Rea thinking better then Wsbk

Did they use Bridgestones at Suzuka?? OK not GP tyres but at least an insight? And did'nt he do ok on the 800 test for a 'lets start at the deep end' kinda thing?
Good luck to him hope he has a couple of solid rides.
Down to earth guy puts a lot into motorcycling, runs motocross team, changes visors at the TT, top lad!

With Suzuki looking to return in 2014 I wonder if Rea has considered that approach as a way into MotoGP? Become their development rider with wildcard rides in 2013 and then fulltime 2014. It's one of the current options for Spies, maybe Rea too?
