“In case, as doctors anticipate, Casey Stoner is not able to re-join the Repsol Honda Team in time, then Jonathan Rea will replace him in Misano and Aragon”

@ 190mph

It's possible, but I think, like Spies, he would want to be racing rather than being part of a development program. People tend to forget about you when you're not regularly featuring in races.

I also think he's a man in heavy demand in WSBK. I don't think Gresini or Suzuki could pay him anything like the salary he would command there.

Lets face it at least be he good or bad Johnnie will give it his all and I suspect he will do very well, anyway we will have a good idea by tomorrow evening.
I assume the post about Toni was tongue in cheek after getting hammered by a couple of CRTs yea right on The Spanish GP it's looking less and less like World GP.

Jonathan being an HRC man through and through is a safe bet regarding secrecy of HRC data, which is the main reason that testers usually fill in on factory teams.

As for those complaining, well what the hell do you want, if Jonathan can't liven up MGP a bit then the class and formula is obviously so badly screwed up that nobody can.

Surely even the non-Rea supporters have to admit that it'll be very, very, interesting at least!

As for the rookie rule, that fat Jap was able to ride for Rossi at Yamaha two years ago, so that point isn't relevant. Obvious in any case that such a rule isn't applicable here.
Johnny is the right man for this. He knows the circuits, he's keen, loyal to Honda despite years of poor machinery of late. Because of the bike thi year, he's not jeopardising a championship.
It also gives him a chance at the top that will contribute to several calls for him to race in the premium class.
I'm really looking forward to it and hope he gets top fives.

I am not sure why they don't put in some factory support at Honda WSBK and help this guy win a Championship there.
This talented guy has been sticking with Honda for such a long time and looking at how the BMWs, Aprilias, Ducatis and this year Kawasaki are outperforming the Honda, clearly factory get the bike up on par competing.
It is as if, there is nothing Rea can do to match these machines.
Honda, if you are listening, please, give him some support to improve the Honda and give him a bike he deserves.
Just my thoughts!!!!
