Excellent race!
This was down to the wire. It is what motogp is all about, it's not just the riders, it's the whole package, team, bike and all.
Each of these bikes has it's own merits and they are quite different, it is up to the rider to exploit those merits and on this day Dani had the edge and Jorge had the good grace to admit it.
This is not bish-bash WSBK, this is about strategy, skill, understanding the subtleties of the track and weaknesess of your opponent. We are just missing one ingredient and hopefully he will return soon for his swansong!

I thought each rider rode to the strengths of their bikes. Jorge's was so fast through the turns and Danni's was not sweet in the turns so I think Danni played the game well. He parked the Honda in the turns and squirted out using the Hondas better acceleration. This did not allow Jorge to hold momentum. Jorge had to slow to Danni's pace mid corner then could not match the exit speed. It was great tactics.

Lorenzo is a more complete racer than Pedrosa. A win like today by Dani DOES NOT change that fact.

Anyone arguing that HAS JUST started watching Motogp.

Wa Ha Ha!!! So say the (obvious) blind Lorenzo fan who has just started watching Moto GP. Never seen Dani in his 125,250 days and early GP days (990's). Dani has had more battles (head to head) than jorge, the move Jorge made was simply able due to the bike he rides, as has been said they rode to their bikes advantages. Dani corner entry and mid corner was nothing on Jorge's but dani sat the bike up and fired out far earlier than Jorge, power or not his exit speed was superior as his technique was, take it for what it was, A great last lap, between 2 great riders and Dani was the better and braver on the Day (Jorge's own words!!) Superb!!

Tim, please learn how to spell Pedrosa (the same for your friends on this side: BRADLE) and how to argue. Pedrosa was always considered to be THE Spanish talent in his 125cc, 250cc years with a great future in MotoGP (well he achieved more than most riders can ever dream of. 18 wins, 67 podiums, 22 poles in 110 races, some of them he rode without having full fitness because of major injuries he had to deal with in all the years). He has a big heart, a great personality (not a clown, introverted, intelligent and honest) and is extremely talented. His biggest problem in the premiere class of motorcycling has been his shyness and therefore lack of uncompromisingness on the track. And please, the RC212V was nothing compared to the M1 in the first 3 oder 4 years of the 800c era (think about Hayden and his disastrous stats), the RC213V became a better and competitive bike at the end of 2010 (developement based on Pedrosas input, Stoner took the perfect RC213V in 2011 and won the WC on it).
