If Rossi even wins a race before the end of this year, his haters will say it was Hayden who developed the bike after Rossi signed with Yamaha, and if the bike gets competitive and Hayden and Dovizioso start getting podiums next year, they will say that that is proof of Rossi's incompetence. One cannot win with haters, whoever it is they hate.

@JC Racing,
It comes with the football mentality. If you aren't cherishing the guy they support, it is required in their mind that they must hate you and disagree with any post that a non believer puts up, unless of course you gush about their guy.

There is an excellent article on what is wrong with the Ducati. It is from a blog at GPOne and is in Italian. So do a google on the following then use google translate on the article. Unless of course you speak Italian.

re: "but all immediate development emphasis is now on the chassis."

are you trying to tell us there's nothing wrong with the engine...? :)

re: "Based on the feedback he provided, we'll bring a new frame and a new swingarm to the next race."

wait, did they just say a new frame and a new swingarm...? why would the road to a better performing motorcycle have anything to do with relatively cost effective changes to the chassis...? CRAZY TALK I TELL YOU...!? :D

FastFisheye you fail to realize that Rossi's detractors/haters wouldn't care if he started walking on water they'd still hate him. I'm sure Rossi would love to turn the bike around to be competitve before he leaves as long as it's not able to beat him. Dovi will be the beneficiary of Rossi's input.

Stoner was usually 0.75+ secs a lap quicker than Hayden
Hayden stated at the begining of the year the Duke was the best yet
Rossi has not been that much quicker than Hayden all year if at all

So why waste time and a shed load of money developing the bike for a rider who aint going to ride it next year? seems a waste of resource - at least Hayden should have an input - he's the one whos got to ride it next year
