Assume we all know that Kevin Schwantz has the Moto GP rights for the Austin track. This of course does not guarantee anything but he is held in very high regard by many decision makers.

"As for Laguna, I have never missed a GP and before that never missed a Superbike since the early 80s. But I have to say the spectator accommodations are nothing short of appalling. Parking is a joke, especially motorcycle parking. There are few places on the track that you have any kind of a view, taking pictures is almost impossible." posted by Tedg

I haven't been back to Laguna since 94 but I always liked Laguna and thought it was great for picture taking, the track was hard to get around and I would have problems now due to my own health issues.

If they don't drop Indy after what it did to Stoner and this years championship, then they really are stupid. Really, really stupid. Need I say it again? Drop Indy!

Argentina probably isn't gonna happen. Jerez is good. Valencia and Catalunya are doubtful. Laguna still has a couple years on contracg (do your homework!) Worldwide economy sucks and motorcycle sales have plummeted. That's a 1-2 punch. Be glad we still have the rounds we do ... and support them.

you mean if they don't REPAVE indy after what it did to stoner and this years championship then they really are stupid. it was really only 1 section that did everybody in. we really have to stop making it out like everybody and their mom was crashing every which-a-way across all 3 of the classes. at the least, it's an exaggeration, at the worst, it's a blatant lie. newsflash, rider's take diggers at EVERY round...! or hadn't you noticed...? but nobody calls for the "hangman's noose" elsewhere...?

Anything has to be better than "Indy." The promoters have no respect for Motogp riders what so ever. They could have swept a great deal of dirt and dust from the surface, the accidents there this year during qualfying was a total disgrace. Two of our top riders are still out and Casey is having surgery. Let's have tracks that show a little respect for rider safety. Yeah...dump Indy and bring on Austin Texas.

shaman, No, I don't mean repave Indy. Indy has had its chance, and they didn't do what was necessary. Instead they chose not to spend the necessary finds to fix the track. Case closed. Time for MotoGP to move on before another top rider is injured due to poor track conditions.
