Putting a 'young gun' like Petrucci alongside Edwards is a sensible move to make sure he's really pulling his weight. While it must be dispiriting to move from a prototype to a CRT, he's being well paid for his professional experience to develop the Suter-BMW to its maximum potential. Calling it a piece of sh**t isn't likely to convince the team that he's really trying his hardest with what he's got. The grass always looks greener on the other side, but he's tried an ART now, (and more significantly, Capirossi went quicker than him after just 3 laps on the Suter BMW), so it shows that Edwards needs to consider his own input as part of the reason for the bike's current level of performance.

Nothing like a young, hungry teammate to put some fire under an old fox's tail. And Edwards can always claim that the improved performance comes from Suter's new commitment, instead of from him having to earn his wages.

i think Colin dont realised the true potencial of the Aprilia CRT..! 4sure he tested the chassi and one Aprilia engine but what updates he ride?? IODA is also riding one Aprilia engine and loock how slow it is that bike.. Just trying to say that 4sure Colin is not the fastest out there and maybe he also judged bad the Suter but i bet he dont try Espargaro or Randy Aprilia CRT that had been growing up a lot since the star, they have Aprilia enginers there and loocks more like the factory CRT.. I think he have to bealive more on this project, i dont blain him i think its really sick when one rider play on Prototips real bikes and what Motogp is about and suddently he ends riding that Sht that is not even call Motogp that is CRT WTF is that?? what motivacion he will feel.. Anyway the best way to keep the fire on is allways making better then the others so he really have to focus on make this bike at least the best CRT i know that Colin can do that he just need what the Team did now hirein

petrucci was 15 km/h slower down the straights at Qatar during qualifying than Espargaro. Those are not the same motors most likely. Given Petrucci weighs about 6kg more than Aleix according to MotoGP.com, perhaps Petrucci needs to slim down a few kilos as well.

More Edwards was riding the 1 time with the speed Master CRT aprilia, wish means that at least he will play with the latest updates givin by Aprilia to Pasini but maybe he need more time to realised the potencial and i still think that Aspar team recive the best material but thats me!! Capirossi did 5 laps maybe testing a new softer tyre and make is best time on the 3 lap 2m 2.049s.. Lap time that Edwards did on his 1 time he ride the speed Master CRT 2m 3.143s 4sure using a racing tyre he did 29 laps and is best was on lap 19.. The time that Edwards did on is bike Suter BMW with race tyres on race day was 1:59:980.. Now comparing its time on race day to the best Capirossi did 1:59:980-Colin vs 2:2:249- Capirossi.. I think Colin is trying but he is not very motivated to CRT 4sure

re: "Colin was looking for new motivation, but after riding the ART bike he saw there was nothing magic - Eskil Suter."

translation: we can't beat the manufacturers. the ART bikes are equally pieces of crap and we would all be better served just cutting to the quick throwing bodywork, bridgestones, and carbon rotors on bikes purchased directly off the showroom floors of local dealers. the interim step of us building frames around producton motors and thinking we're going to match pace with prototypes of equal displacement is nothing more than a "circle jerk" of time and money wasted. kenny roberts already said to us, "now we know why they're called the engine company", yet here we find ourselves willfully ignorant to history and repeating it...?

Colin is a better rider when he ride a Honda. Similar to the late Norick Abe. Both of them made a wrong choice to ride for Yamaha pushing themselves too much to believe they were Yamaha rider.

He may get a better feeling if he test the Honda CRT engine. I got the feeling he seeking the strong engine with predictable linear output like the Honda.

That's not true. Edwards was faster on the Suter, but slower on the ART.
