These two haven't always been bestest mates. I predict a riot (hopefully)!

Also, I voted for Dani. I think the bike is getting better, he has some momentum now and he owned Lorenzo last time round.

you can only dine out on your reputation for so long

Dine out, he has been dining out and then going straight to a out door barbeque, followed swiftly by a nosh up at home, his waistline must be flopping like a door in the wind.

iannone lapped faster than rossi in a test in mugello..he did a 1.48.3 compared to rossis 1.48.5 in qualifying....

next year looks promising at this rate....we have rossi and lorenzo on the yams, pedrosa and marc on the honda, bradl on a factory bike, hayden on the ducati(the new engine may make him more consistent near the top) will be stronger with more experience....iannone looks to be promising....and dovi may surprise us and manage to ride the ducati properly and be another challenger.....cant wait for next year !!

"@ Tetley Very interesting premise, and one that I have considered as well. The silliness this season is nuts. Posted by Realist"
True! This season has had all manner of shocks and revelations. And that's a good thing. The politics and 2013 team selections have been more interesting than the racing until recently. And now we have the prospect of a ding-dong scrap for the title.
Whatever is missing now is not being missed now.

"@Tetley why should Vale be allowed more equality if Jorge doesn't win Posted by Sean03"
I didn't say he should be, I questioned whether he WOULD be. Instead of concentrating on helping JLo defend a title, Jarvis MAY be thinking that it is better to have two strings to his bow, and allowing "more equality" MAY be a way to hedge his bets. Jarvis would not have hired VR46 if he didn't think there were possibilities of success.

@ Ammar

I don't know where that "manage to ride the ducati properly" came from !!

maybe you heard it from mr quitter fans. They don't have to ride anything in a certain way, rather they make it suit them and that's what development is all about. After all Valentino Rossi despite being unsuccessful made Ducati think twice. he revolutionized the stagnant Ducati. in 3 or 4 years they'll get there with Dovi and Iannone.
