Good luck to Spies, I think this race will be his best result of the season(Although thats not saying a lot at this point)..Now that he has a contract in place for next year his head should be in the Race!! I Hope!!

Jeez, Ben is now relying on the "lucky" 13th race. Scraping the barrel a bit.

I think Spies shot himself in the foot by leaving Yamaha so suddenly. Speculation said he had offers here, there and everywhere. Now it seems like he is going to jump on the Duke. Not even the factory Duke but the second string Duke. Scraping the barrel again.

I like Spies but I don't think he will be in this sport or many more seasons.

@Papi
Do you really think he had a choice,Yamaha were ready to Re-Sign Spies but then Rossi Contacted them and Ben was put on hold until Valentino swallowed his pride enough to leave Ducati.
He also could have went to Tech 3 but wanted to distance himself from Yamaha..And your correct about the Ducati but it will be a full Factory Spec Bike and He will be paid by Factory Ducati,Hayden wouldnt have been re-signed if Ducati had known Spies was willing to Stay in MotoGP.
Announcement to come in the next few days.

Racing is not his passion any more...it is just business for him the one which is not his favourite. One which is more like added value for his brand. additional

@555

One does not risk his life day in and day out for marketing. The ONLY explanation for what these guys do is passion. Has he list his passion this season? Yes, but that is because of all the hardships he's had to deal with.

re: "It's been an unbelievable year but we'll give it 100% as always this weekend and fingers crossed it'll be trouble free and we can show our true potential."

the problem comes in that this is a quote of something SPIES said... and not a quote of something said by JARVIS or YAMAHA. :rolleyes:

Spies sealed his fate when he get by Lorenzo at Indy last year. This is the time for him shouldn't ride at 100%. He just need ride at 95% and finishing every round ahead of Satellite riders.

It is himself to be blame if still didn't improve his race start.

Don't worry not much longer and you'll be able to wear those Yellow underwear Again with pride!!!
Really though how can you slag other riders when your a Rossi Fan and have sat through the biggest fall from grace in Grand Prix racing history?
Do you really think Yamaha are expecting him to win or are you smart enough to know they just want him for the sponsers he will bring with him?

With Davies to BMW it's Ducati or Suzuki(if that ride ever existed). Either way a dicey proposition if he has thoughts of being a front runner. Still with the dearth of Americans in the sport, I'll take what I can get.
