I'm glad to see Ben staying in MotoGP. If the Duc deal is for real. (yeah I meant to do that..:). But I have my doubts about the Duc. Having said that I, like most Spies fans, had the utmost confidence in the Yamaha with Spies aboard, and we've seen how thats turned out. Spies has made some of his own problems like any other rider. But the problems he's had to deal with, that were not his doing, are more than any racer should be expected to overcome. I wish him luck the rest of the year and in the future.

Ben has had a crap year on a factory Yamaha number of problems and crashes. And next year on a satalite Ducati well next year is not going to be much better....

What's going to be interesting is his impending behind the scenes revelations at Yamaha, also why if Ducati bound why such a strange move, considering all the negative comments from disgruntled riders, past and present.

re: "@Shamarone
Don't worry not much longer and you'll be able to wear those Yellow underwear Again with pride!!!
Really though how can you slag other riders when your a Rossi Fan and have sat through the biggest fall from grace in Grand Prix racing history?
Do you really think Yamaha are expecting him to win or are you smart enough to know they just want him for the sponsers he will bring with him?"

anybody know what boogers and his heinous mis-read of S1 is talking about...? from his comment, the lad is clearly new around here and out of his league.

He cant afford to be emotional. Thats where riders get it so wrong. No one can be at this level with 'crossed fingers' and clinging on to the hope factor. Thats where they also get carted out. That much said, best wishes to Ben.

As part of Audi, Ducati should enjoy significantly greater financial backing for the marque, with the added incentive of Audi wanting to see its brand on the podium and being willing to support more intensive effort.
Thus Spies has the opportunity to shine in a Ducati MotoGP revival. But this comment, like all the others, is mere speculation that can only be resolved on track in 2013.
