This must stand as the biggest backward step in the history of MotoGP. Looks like he is desperate for scraps from the top table, this move is nonsensical. Is his star so much on the wane or has he found his level?
Is the next step Moto2?
I cant get me head round the thinking. Both Dovi and Iannoe will show the American pair the way on the duke with the Italian pair taking what looks like good momentum into next year.

Well done Ben. Despite this year, your a proven Moto GP talent. You deserve this ride.

Well deserved Iannone. Your a bass ass, and looking forward to watching in the top level.

This is great news for the 2013 season.

re: "It is a brave move for Spies, with the satellite Ducatis having been the least competitive of all the manufacturer machines in recent seasons."

ugghh... no thinking, i've OFFICIALLY thrown up in my mouth a lil' bit.

re: "However, upon announcing the signing of Spies and Iannone, Ducati also confirmed that both riders will 'be supplied with official equipment' - assumed to mean bikes close in spec to factory team riders Andrea Dovizioso and Nicky Hayden."

wait, is this supposed to mean something good and positive...? audi take care. if you pull a "suzuki" now that spies is on the payroll, S1 will be the last guy you have to worry about. the yank collective is going to hand you your a$$.

What the fcuk is Spies up to?
He goes from the best seat in MOTOGP to the worst.
Even if Rossi was to take his place he could have dropped back to Tech 3, still a great bike. I hope he spills the beams on what really happened.
Dovi will do no good on the bike as well.
Iannone could be a Stoner clone on the bike, he can make the Duck win.
