Really what is the point, greatest respect for Rea but he will be one of the slowest prototypes out there if not the slowest!!!
History shows this to be true, you do not just jump on one of these animals and "get it"
Stefan Bradl has an HRC contract, why did they not put him on the works machine and Rea on the second string bike?

I think watching Rea to see how he performs will add some interest to the race for a change as going by the last few races they have been so boring, for the first time in decades of watching I am beginning to wonder why I bother.

I don't understand why people keep saying Jonny always does something stupid and crashes out!!! Jonny is a racer, racers take chances or they might as well pack in!! A lot of crashes that have involved Jonny have never been his fault, but he seems to get the blame. Jonny Rae is a brilliant rider who always gives 100% and whenever he is on the grid you just know it's going to be good!!!

This ride isn't a reward for his work in WSBK it's his reward from Honda for winning Suzuka! It's almost as important as MotoGP to them.

Good luck to Jonny, I'm sure he'll do well

AKs29, it's setup experience on a full-race machine. Very little adjustable on a superbike, everything adjustable on any GP bike plus completely new bits, frames etc arriving all the time. A lot more to it than just getting on the thing and riding it.

Troy Corser lost his way completely on setup when he went to MotGP, was sacked, came back for a one-off after winning superbike championship again and won by a country mile - after someone else spent a year developing the bike. All those guys can ride, but setup experience makes the difference.
