You need to think about why riders chose to stay in their motorhomes before commenting.

Look at the forecast for the area. Today rain most of the day, heavy at times. Tomorrow possibility of showers first thing. Sunday dry and mostly sunny.

So what is to be gained by going out today? There's certainly nothing to be gained in terms of setup if qualifying and the race are going to be dry. Most of the riders know the circuit inside out, so they're not going to learn anything new. So what's left?

Hayden, for example, probably went out just to test his hand. Maybe others were trying new parts, wanted to check out the circuit or just try a new part or something. Certainly there was little sign that anybody was really giving it beans.

If there was a good chance of the rest of the weekend being wet I'm sure there would have been more riders out there. As it stands however there's little to gain and lots to lose by going out and pushing it in the wet.

So ninth and tenth shouldn't practice/race for what they are being payed for? Only the top 3? You will need a whole lot more Motogp bikes to have a Motogp championship. At least they are doing what they are being payed for. Race and entertain...
