Well just to update my earlier post, it seems Cal has gotten wind of the paddock gossip about factory parts for him and has now strenuously denied it. So that settles that one for now. We wait to see if it stays that way...

Good job Cal but if your going to get pick up another podium this race please don't make it 10 seconds adrift. BTW I like you talking it up better than saying "I will try to finish in the top 6" like the start of the season.

'sublime' Crutchlow has finished an average of 15.7
seconds behind the leader in 10 races (not counting
France(60sec behind)and Indy(dnf)
And please no comments like 'but he is not on a factory bike' - they are all factory bikes, except CRTs

@saint

I think what you mean to say is that they all ride prototype machines. The tech 3 machines are satellite bikes built at the same 'factory' which use older electronics, components etc in comparison to the factory yamaha team. That's not to say they're necessarily worse off with older kit as a lot of it is tried and tested and has numerous amounts of testing and performance data. However, this is a prototype championship and things move on very quickly so more often than not new stuff is better than old stuff.

"Sublime". Priceless. His appearance on race day reminds me of the great Mose Allison's song "Your Mind is on Vacation (but your mouth is working overtime)".
