MotoGP » Rookie Rea: I don't want experience to end

'I'm taking things step-by-step and the limit is still quite a way off, but I don't really want to find that limit just yet, I'm taking my time' - Jonathan Rea

Cal Crutchlow qualified 8th and 1.4s from pole in his first GP, while Stefan Bradl qualified 9th also 1.4s off. That was on a longer track but both those guys had more testing experience than Rea. Given that both are now very competitive in the class, JR's early showing suggests great promise. If he can keep this up, he'll put himself in a very strong position to take that final RCV prototype for next year.

Well impressed with the way he's gone about qualifying, keeping it upright while trying to keep within sight of the front men. As Don-R says he will eventually have to throw it up the road to find the limit but hopefully not until practice for Arragon and he gets a reasonable result tomorrow. I honestly hope he gets a crack at MotoGp but I fear if he misses out now his chance could be gone.
Best of luck to him tomorrow

What I like and admire about Rea is, he is very simple, no show off. Never ever I have seen him over emphasizing anything. Very realistic and down to earth person. I want to see him more in MotoGp.

All the best Rea!!!

Nice progress JR. Hopefully a good race to follow but you cant expect too much. Distinct lack of coments but i guess the haters are still waiting in the wings for your first slip up. A full time ride in 2013 is what most fans want - what MGP needs.
