A non-race in my opinion. The race result should be nullified.

I've never really rated Danni as a racer before, but lately his form has been the best ever and the title was well within his grasp. This race was a farce. The guy didn't deserve race direction's complete screw-up of events.

@Ostravar74 If the result of this race should be nullified then the same goes for Assen. Sometimes things happen to a rider that are totally beyond his control.

It's all very well saying "if Karel didn't have a clutch problem" or "if race direction hadn't stopped the race" then Dani wouldn't have started from the back. Or indeed "if Hector hadn't screwed up..." Just as it's all very well saying "if Alvaro hadn't been a complete and utter ****wit at Assen then Lorenzo would probably have at least 20 points more than he does now".

What's happened has happened. It levels out Jorge and Dani in the bad luck stakes this year.

Once upon a time grands prix had a rule where each rider had to drop his worst result. The idea being that it evened out riders who'd had one really bad weekend with the riders who'd been lucky all season, but at least this year luck itself has evened things out between the two main contenders.

Lorenzo wasn't gifted anything, thats racing. Lorenzo was taken out do to no fault of his own at Assen and now it has happened to Pedrosa. Anyway plenty of races left and plenty of things can happen....

Surely the correct procedure is to fine Barbera, spank Barbera, blame Barbera, etc etc - nobody is allowed to give Pedrosa a hard time or collide with him.
Strangely enough liddle Dani has form here himself - ask Nicky Hayden.
Either way a small Spaniard will be champ at the end of the year and more people will be watching Superbike for proper racing.

This year was his chance, clearly the fastest machinery, finally uninjured, Stoner down & out. 4 different riders have now won the championship in the premier class ahead of him on 3 different types of machinery and two were his teammate when they skunked him. Dani is out of excuses. Great rider, more mature now but NOT a world champion. Take your little Puiggy and go home.

It's not Hector Barbera that should be taking the blame, that was a racing incident. The blame for Dani's downfall are the officials, they made him start from the back of the grid.
