Do you think that Lorenzo might have been taking it easy because he had no opposition?
Also, get the riders to remove the sunglasses when they are on the podium. We want eye contact!

Despite Rossi being only 4.4 seconds from the front, Lorenzo was taking it easy today. I think Lorenzo could have easily dropped another second per lap if he needed to.
I'm a Ducati guy and I really like Rossi. I'm glad they made that step forward. But if Dani is up pushing JLo, those two are easily pushing each other a second faster. Jorge was in cruise control from lap 2 on.

so for the yellow brigade not much solace in 2nd place

At least the whinging brigade will be gone come next season.

History cannot be changed. That must realy hurt the Rossi haters.

After two tough years at Ducati Rossi may well be stronger than ever back on the Yamaha.

And Marquez should be interesting to watch too.

Rossi did well to finish 2nd and for sure he was helped by the testing time he had and the lack of time to find a setup for the competition. The other tracks where Ducati also tested the other teams had enough dry track time to get dialed in unlike this round.

Jorge was not pushing, his title rival was out, he has to save his engine being down one. Jorge managed a gap to make sure Vale couldn't lunge at him and take him out like he has to Melandri on 05, Gibernau, Stoner,,,without stressing the motor and with a less than ideal setup.

Rossi's mission is accomplished. You could see the bike was getting even more consistent lap after lap. Bradle, Dovi, bautista, Cal are all good riders with decent bikes, but none of them could take Rossi down. Although the bike is massively improved, but it was due to sheer skills of Vale. He made Bradle, bautista and Dovi give up the fight. I am so happy both for Rossi and Ducati and of course Dovi. Dovi took the gamble of moving to Ducati. By 2014 Haydon is out and Iannone will join Dovi will form all Italian team. Roll on 2013
