Not a big fan of Terol, always felt he came across a big smug in the 125 after it took him years to get into the best team than Aspar and then to have such better equipment which I feel was very unfair to half the field.

As for him being in Moto2 this year not really a surprise that he has not done as well as other rookie i.e last year Marquez, Espargaro, Smith, Rabat and Zarco this year. I always felt like he should of moved up at the end of 2010 like the rest did but opted to stay in 125 in 2011 which surprised a lot of people including me to take some wot of a easy title just to plz Aspar and his title sponsors.

Ok he may of sign a new 2 year deal but can't see that lasting as I don't see him as I front runner in Moto2 and for the way Aspar has off loaded riders this season dew to results which is even harder now dew to everyone being on stuff that is very close has been a bit unprofessional for such a team like Aspar, so money can't buy you title now days that why Moto3 and Mo

I beg to differ ... Terol may not be a "natural" as Marquez or Pol Espargaro are, but he is a very methodical, hard worker who takes his time to learn and who makes progress step by step, steady but surely. He's from Alcoy, in the Valencia region, has known Aspar for many years, has great rapport with the team and feels embraced and supported by them, which is exactly what he needs in order to grow as a rider. I am sure he'll be better next year and even better in 2014.

He started the year not very well, but I feel his improving. The Aspar bike is not the best of the field as it was in 250 and 125, look at the past champion Elias' results.

Don't forget that Bradl and Pol Espargaro didn't show so well in their first seasons. The were better than Terol of course and their seasons wasn't bad at all, but they made a huge leap in the second year. Anything can happen in Moto2, even Terol can find that plus.

Terol did the right thing staying in 125 he knew he should walk it and the only challengers was zarco and vinales who came as a surprise, I would have done the same thing knowing your a sure in to win the championship not everybody gets to call them selves a world champion! I think the previous post is spot on he will take his time and will improve he is defiantly talented don't forget he is a former Spanish champion which when you look at past champs it certainly stands for something

I agree with earlier coments. Nico appeared only win the 125's through top speed of the bike Aspar. He make a cheat many times. He is not a real racer, more like a baby when he loses. I do not think he will ever win a Moto2 race like Vlad Bubnov.

The 2-year reneval of the contract with Terol is as hard to digest as the 2-year deal Bradley Smith got with Tech3. It doesn't make any sense at all. When did actual race performance stop being mandatory?
