MotoGP » Redding: Size more important than skill in Moto2

“It's stopped being about who's the best rider in Moto2, because physical size seems to be more important than skill” – Scott Redding.

But this is just Redding's fault and not anyone's else. If he weighs 74 kg and he's only 174 cm tall, he's just too heavy for his height. He should have 60-65 kg. He doesn't seem too fit to me in comparison with other riders.

Now that their 'golden child' is moving on to Motogp and is odds on to win this seasons Moto2 championship Ezpeleta & Co may just take their hands from over their ears and listen to this totally valid arguement.....unless of course there's another dinky Spaniard being groomed for stardom in this class.....

If there's no decent ride to suit him in Motogp (a CRT bike would be a BAD move), then maybe Scott should be eyeing up the WSB paddock, he would fly on a bike more suited to his own physical dimensions.

Sito Pons has been saying the exact same thing since Moto2 started. They've ignored him for over 2 years and I can't see them altering their stance on the issue.
Although, as the above poster pointed out. Maybe now that "The chosen one" is moving into the Repsol MotoGP squad they might have less reasons for not at least looking in to the problem.
Why should Scott and similarly sized riders feel penalised because they're not 40kg jockeys. It's supposed to be about riding skill not being the same height and weight as an oompa loompa.

So then what your saying is this
Engine is more important than size
Size is more important than skill
I'm sorry but it's a bit sook like if you ask me. If he had a more powerful engine he wouldn't be complaining so much.
