Of course BS made the right choise. I think that this tech 3 bike is the best to have if you cannot have a factory yamaha or honda. But Yamaha picked totally wrong. There is a list of riders, faster than BS. I still cannot believe that he will ride this M1. It is a waste of time (2 years) for one of the two tech3 bikes. Why not Hill-Spies-Melandri-Bautista-dePuniet-2xEspargaro-Iannone-Luthi-Redding-Vinales-Cortese-Salom-Rea-Josh Herrin-Hayes and so on... All of them are more mature and faster. It is so hard for a real Yamaha fan to understand this contract!!

"Lets not forget that many people were saying the same about Cal this time almost 2 seasons ago, and look how thats turned out.

I agree that a couple of names up there are more deserving than Bradders for the M1. But Cortese, Salom, Herrin and Aleix Espargaro? Brad is so much faster than all of them! What have they done to deserve a ride on a MotoGP bike over Bradley?

Yet again we have several comments from people who clearly know more about what makes a Motogp rider then Herve Poncheral. I wonder if those making such comments could provide their cv's so we can see what teams they have ridden for and subsequently owned or managed.

No, thought not!

A decent kid but got lucky that he has the right passport. Others in Moto2 are more deserving. But he has an opportunity so lets see if he's worth it.

Not sure how he will do in the big boys playpen but he has done the hard yards to earn a shot then its over to him and the yam team see something in him so good luck . A s far as cal goes he needs to slow down a bit and stay on the bike or he will be in trouble with yam seat i reckon

Has the right passport? That's a new one concerning British riders and Grand Prix. He got the contract because Brad put in damn good rides last year on a not so great machine, and that's what Herve saw, NOT his passport which has sweet FA to do with Brad getting this M1 ride.

I reckon Brad is going to do a fine job on that M1 and at least his starts are better than what Crutchlow's managing at the moment. At least it's going to be an interesting 2013 season with these new riders joining the grid. Looking forward to it.

Get the vibe that bs been nocking off a lot of wifes, or maybe just people hate the red hair. He is riding the wheels off a dog of a bike compared to other teams. Next year he will nd half a season thn we will know if he is good enough, but i think he will give critchlow summat to think about near end of season.

@racing500 'and how did that work out'?

Go and look at the results for this season to see for yourself. Whilst your looking, take a look at all the other riders behind him, look at how many gp champions he's beating, and then take another look ot the other guys gp experience. Then look who are the only 4 guys higher than him in the standings.

I hope ive helped you with that one.

Although i have a feeling that you think he should be doing much better? If so, please enlighten us as to what you think Cal should be doing this season. Who else do you expect him to be beating and why?

Not so long ago Mr Poncharel signed a successful British WSBK champion and the crash boffins told us how he would wipe the floor etc etc. It destroyed his career.

Smith needs to watch out for that.
