very ture, but like any rider, they have to try and avoid huge crashes before the season even starts to even stand a chance. they also need to have experience with changing tyre brands because that can also make or break a rider.

oh and moto gp and/or herve/yamaha did not destroy his career. his career was destroyed by a nasty injury caused by a huge crash on a bmw sbk.

smith will do just fine in moto gp. despite what the select few say. i think their just bitter that they have no one of any significance from their homeland to cheer for.

Only time will tell. Some others like Marquez and Ianonne have full works machines. I can see Marquez ending up like Pedrosa, and Ianonne I must say I don't know but he has the mark of a Simoncelli. Maybe Smiffy will silence his critics. I hope so.

Bradders I hope you don't read these comments. If you do just know the opinions of armchair critics don't represent the wider views of GP fans. Real GP fans would never degrade a rider before he even swung his leg over the bike.

Win or lose all of us fans will be behind you hoping you do well. Oh and thanks for the column, don't give it up because of these lot.

Maybe they should also move Elena Rosell up to MotoGP, since you know, she has a really crappy bike and all. Everyone talks about Abraham not deserving a ride in GP, and that he's only there because of his Daddy, but at least he won a Moto2 race. What has this guy done?

his team boss also knows it was a mistake to give hi the contract but they didn't want to be sued.

Easy decision

He wont do anything in MotoGP

108 race starts (last time I counted)
3 wins (all in 125cc)
23 podiums
20 of those in the 125 class
3 in Moto2
And this means he will be GOOD in motogp?

Possibly not

BASED ON 2012 I would say , possible NOT but we do have to give the kid a chance, he did well in the Spanish championship which has changed its name to MotoGP for 2013

His Dad is in his court ($$$) and that makes a big difference overall as he has the right connections.

Personally I don't like him, he as the personality of a dead fish but lets all just wait and see, I just want good racing
