'I think it's going to be tough to make it six in a row, but we'll definitely be there, even if they have to duct-tape me to the bike' - Casey Stoner

So there is such a thing as 'duck' tape as well as duct tape and... haters hate so much they don't realise that Casey gave a verbal interview, he didn't write it out word for word and hand it to the journo.
Man, it's not as though he's sixth in the championship or something!

I'm not sticking up for the man, couldn't care less really, just an observation.
Isn't it funny that the people whinging about stoner sound just as bad as their claims against him. he whinged then people whinge about the whinger it's all a bit of a contradiction really. Probably easier not to stoop to his level and comment on articles on riders you actually like, this goes for Rossi haters too. Might actually make for some descent reading in the comment section.... Nope I'm guessing that would be to much to ask.

@ Stoner fans

Something I dont understand. Why is it when someone expresses a dislike for Stoner, often his fans retribute by attacking Rossi. Do Stoner fans presume that only Rossi fans dislike Stoner? I am a MotoGp fan and I wont miss Stoner much, does that mean I'm a Rossi fan????

@ Dave......." "Rossi thread....."Runner-up Rossi: That was for Super Sic" gets 112 posts in 3 days and this Casey thread gets 100 posts in 9 hrs and people say Rossi is the popular one.....hahahahaha

I dont care if he doesnt win I just want to see him ride for the last time as there is no one who can ride a bike like him and the good thing is a lot of ex World Champions think exactly the same thing."

2 points...

Now, that all the other stats dont seem to make stoner the best "GOAT", you somehow think that posts per hour do? rossi still kicks here, again, a stoner fan only looking at one thread out of how many?

A lot of these ex world champions also think rossi is a living legend. So, do these people not know what's going on or are you arguing for argument sake and again, only selecting opinions that suit your argument.

Ok im a fan of both Stoner and Rossi, but what i really dont understand is the logic of some (and i say some) Rossi fans.

Are these guys really trying to say that Rossi has done better than Stoner over the last 7 seasons (the time they have both been racing side by side), just because he defended his title?

Is this the only reason you can think of to try and make yourself beleive that he has done a better job than Stoner?

Anyone with a half a brain knows that Stoner has done better during this period, so why is it so hard for these few blind Rossi fans to admit this too?

Everyone knows and clearly admits the fact that Rossi did really well before Stoner got to MotoGP, but why cant Rossi fans admit that Stoner has done better than Rossi since he arrived in 2006?

Show a total newbie to the Sport the stats and facts from this period and ask him whose achevied more. You'll only get one answer i can assure you!

@ZED

The Rossi legend has to be preserved, no matter how much logic is shown to prove he he has been crushed by Casey, not gifted championships like Rossi has with superior tires, lackluster competition prior to Casey's arrival, not to mention uncle Carmelo's helpful hand.
