Casey, don't leave motogp...
Posted by mi1tom

He does not care about you mate, so let him go. He never cared about his fans anyway. Just wait till he brings his quitting @r$e to V8's and the moaning will start again. A top 10 in V8's and he'll declare himself the GOAT of the sport and will start to disrespect Lowndes and Whincup. I hope he doesn't bad mouth the sport and especially the fans like he is doing with MotoGP or it will be a big bogan fist to the mouth.

"You can't wait next year? Well you should, you will be a busy man, spewing garbage about Lorenzo, Dani, Marquez, Iannone, etc etc..."

@I Remember

No. Only Stoner deserves to be treated like that. The guys you mentioned deserves our utmost respect and we are excited for them. Stoner on the other hand we are happy to see go. MotoGP will never be the same without him. It will be better.

True, what a load of tripe!!! Funny how Casey won his first championship on a Ducati that was leaps and bounds faster than anything else that year. Then what, nowt at all until he rides the Honda, again one of the fastest bikes there that year!! Casey also struggled with the new Bridgestone tyres that didn't quite suit his Honda, and still don't and guess what - he doesn't stand a chance of winning another championship!!! It seems it is Casey that needs the best bike, tyres etc. to give him the best chance of winning a championship!!

Never say Never. How the hell was I having a go at Bayliss? Did I say he was a bad driver or anything else?It is a fact he went into the championship in an uncompetitive car that broke down in two of the races he contended. He could have jumped into a front running Dunlop Series car and had a far better time of it. Wayne Gardner had his own team with Coca Cola backing and was very rich from racing sports cars in Japan for years before he tackled the Aussie V8's. How can you compare his entry to the sport with Bayliss? It is logical to get the race craft right in the same cars in the lower series, no matter what your racing experience is in other categories. You say I post rubbish but your facts never check out and your arguments never stand scrutiny.

@herewego, what?

You are worng on every level. Casey is the ONLY one of the top level riders to prove that he can win on any bike, regardless of it being the best, or the worse. Rossi on the other hand, well, we have all seen that he needs a great bike to even be close to the top guys, let alone win a single race.

Of course both Rossi and Stoner are great riders, and Rossi was dominating before Hayden beat him in 2006, but the reason that Stoner has beaten Rossi head to head over the last 7 years is becasue he has the ability to win on any bike thats given to him. Rossi does not share that same ability, evidently.

You say Stoner 'did nothing' between winning his first and second championships? Well he actually won many many races and had many many podiums, each and every year. If that is 'nothing', then how would you describe what Rossi has done over the last 2 seasons?

And thats a genuine question that id love to here your answer too.

@ ExHaUsT.....what an eyeopener! I checked the stats for myself and was surprised to see that Jorge and Max Biaggi are both much better than Casey.
Mind you Stats aren't everything. Jorge & Max did better in the smaller capacities.
It occurs to me that Ago wouldn't be at the top of the list if you took away his 350cc stuff, seeing as the class is long gone.

The reason people rate Stoner so highly Exhausted, is because he amassed most of his wins on a Ducati. Which if you know anything about the sport is a pretty phenomanal effort. Especially when you look at what the supposed GOAT has done on it since Casey left. NO WINS IN TWO YEARS. On a bike which according to Nicky is bette than what it was when Stoner was on it! Numbers never tell the whole story, and while Stoner won't go down as the GOAT he"ll be remembered as the rider that regularly beat the supposed OAT on inferior machinery.
