@Mikey according to the 30 year averages from the met office september is only a teeny bit cooler at wetter than june. About 3mm more rain and half a degree centigrade cooler. That is well inside the possible variations for june and doesn't make any real difference at all.

Ron I'm well aware of how MotoGP makes money. The point I was making is that the GPC have made many rule changes supposedly in order to reduce costs for the teams, most of which do no such thing. They are merely a sop to those who complain the sport is too expensive. I mean does anybody seriously believe that, when the GPC introduced the 6/9 engine "durability" rules, that the big teams actually reduced their engine budget? Of course they didn't, they just changed the way they spent that money.

But now Dorna have neatly demonstrated that they are not concerned about the costs for the teams, but only about their own profits.

I recall a time when smaller teams didn't travel to the far flung rounds for reasons of cost, but now the teams are contractually obliged to take part in each and every round.

Drop the pretence and let the sport get back to the way it used to be.

September is actually a more consistent month for decent weather than you might think although the nights will be colder for camping.
August is the changeable month so July or early September is probably fine :)

No less than 7 of these dates clash with the F1 calendar. Surely this is going to reduce the potential TV audience figures so important to advertisers ?.Less sponsorship available to the teams who rely on the money to compete ?
Not to mention those of us who follow both.
