Rossi seems to have a realistic outlook. Unlike some fans of Ducati and/or Rossi the man himself doesn't accept that one swallow makes a long term relationship.

He's sensible enough to realise that the Ducati was always going to do better at Misano.

They are definitely going to miss out on the fact that they haven't tested these new parts in Aragon, as Misano was only really deceptively good.

It'll be a great boost for the team if they're competitive here in the dry though.

Hoping for a good race!

Quite sure there will be no improvement - Rossi and Hayden will be back to 5-6th positions at best. Misano was exception as both Ducati and Rossi know that track better than anyone else and thus we saw a 2nd place (should have been 4th if Pedrosa and Stoner were there).
Next year would be so boring. Lorenzo as a WC would be recharged, Rossi would just end up following him around as he is past his prime and Pedrosa would be a broken man after this year, riding with a belief "That title is not destined to be mine ever.". Finally, Stoner will be soaking sunshine somewhere in Australia then. :(

@Abhishek has mighty brave words there. A fortune teller too. Magnificent gaze into the future.

Dany and Casey didnt place in the top of the order because they were not there. History mate.

Get over it.

@Abhishek

blah blah blah if Stoner and Pedro were there,
Pedro was there, but DNF, you cant make any excuses about him not finishing, that's racing, Stoner is off licking his wounds, to finish a race you have to be fit and fast, Rossi was just that, you cant argue that. possibly he may of finished 3rd or 4th as you say, but who knows, anything could of happend to Stoner and Pedro if they were racing, it might of even allowed Rossi to catch the front group if they were battling with each other as he was only 4 secs behind Jlo.

Is that going to be the excuse every race next season when Rossi is back up the front on the M1?
"oh if stoner were there he would of finished so and so".

moving along..

@ Abhishek

Lorenzo would have been world champion last year IF Stoner wasn't there.
Randy DePuniet would have won IF everyone in front of him crashed.
Stoner would have crashed IF he was there.
Stoner would have won IF he was there.
Spies would have been 1st IF he didn't finish behind 4 other riders.

See I can do it too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! woohoo!

I like these "what ifs"...they make for good fiction
