it would be a bigger shame if he was a test mule next year or hanging around mid pack towards the back, instead of fighting for wins in a championship which is arguably more interesting.

Nice work johnny , reckon you would be bang on the pace with a full pre season testing schedule behind him . Quicker than bautista , a seasoned Gp rider with plenty motogp experience ...

As for the knockers on here , you have no clue what you are talking about but if it keeps you happy carry on .. And did somebody actually comment on Rea's smile ,, Haha seriously you gotta laugh ...

i guess we will find out how good he is after we see Marc Marquez jump on the bike and see what lap times he does on his first couple of outings on the bike!

To all the Jonathan Rea trolls...Jonathan Rea is held in the very highest esteem by those who know a good deal about good riders on motorcycles. Some of those people are: HRC, the WSBK paddock, the MotoGP paddock, Journalists from around the world, dedicated fans to name but a few. See that smile on his face in that photo, HE knows they know and HE has a great future ahead of him. So, trolls, get over it, get a life and move on.

People bagging Rea's effort have no idea about the sport. He lost a lost of dry track time at the last and this GP. He is trying to keep the rubber bits facing down and hand back an undented bike to Stoner. He has had a handful of laps at Aragon, even after his test days there, compared to the MotoGP regulars. By any fair measurement his achievement in qualifying is well above average and in no way is any criticism justified. AS for Honda being the best bike....I think the Yamaha qualifying this year has been far superior.

The previous three posts are all on the money, anyone giving those posts a thumbs down are Rossi fans who are p*ssed off that Rossi is half a second behind Johnny and 1.5 seconds behind JLo, kinda bodes well for next year don't it.
No I don't hate Rossi just his devout followers who hate everyone who has the gall to beat their idol.

I've been guilty of giving some stick to Rea in the past but I've got to say I'm impressed!
Throwing the bike into the shrubbery won't do him any good and I was sure it was gonna happen. He's showing some real restraint and the results are modest but encouraging, I hope he continues.
Amazing what a little down to earth Aussie influence can have on a person isn't it?

first most of you bad mouth Rea saying he's a waste of a ride, a waste of a rider on the Repsol and he doesnt deserve the ride he's been given, even though it was his first ride of the machine.

Now, since he has spent abit more time on the bike he's slowly coming to grips with it you are all gloating becuase he was a wisker ahead of Rossi's Qualy time..

make up your minds will you.

any excuse to hate on Rossi, where were you all after misano when Rossi outrode everyone behind him to finish 2nd, no where to be seen were you.
Just more excuses by saying "if" pedro was there, "if" stoner was there.
