MotoGP » Rossi last to eighth after Rea tangle

“It's a shame about the mistake on the first lap. Rea couldn't see me and pushed me close to the curb, and I went straight to avoid him” – Valentino Rossi.

Rossi without a doubt would have been challenging for 3-5th if he didn't make that mistake that put him last but good for him to push hard to get as far up the board as possible. Good to hear that Hayden didn't get hurt with his crash.

Ducati didn't get the results they wanted but does seem they're finally going in the right direction next race should have better results as long as no big mistakes occur.

Rossi was maybe too agressive, but Rea was very carefull not to bin it causing this conflict.
Rea owning Rossi? haha that is wishful thinking. Maybe Honda owning Ducati, but the average lappace of Rea surely can't match Rossi's...

My Foot Rossi as noted isn't blaming Rea eventhough Rea made a rookie braking error and was going wide pushing Rossi wide and having him go off the course. But Rossi admits it's not Rea's fault as he took the outside line instead of the inside.

Who really cares, Rossi hasn't been a front runner for 2 yrs so little impact on any results except maybe the CRT boys.

Rea showed he has the right stuff to step up to motogp if he ever gets another chance, I just hope next year we get the old Rossi and Marquez and him get to fight it out every week like him and stoner did. Then we will have racing agin.

Rossi will take no prisoners nor will Marquez who will cut Rossi lines after every overtake the young spainard will make.

Mean hike up front Dani and Jl will fight it out for the in

The incident is a 50/50, whats knowns as a racing incident to those muppets who know nothing haha. Rossi was a bit hot, Rea quite possible braked early, but defended his position by moving over towards the kerb. No harm done to anyone :)
Rossi and Ducati had benefits of testing at Misano before the race. He got 2nd and well done. When they were there, all other teams were at Aragon so for him to be fighting his way back to eighty is a good performance in my eyes. Back to 1.6 secs down each lap, but given the others extra test I would say closer to a second. The next race will be a true reflection on the latest mods to the GP12. Roll on 2013

Firstly, very well done Jonathan Rea, he rode a brilliant race and the fault was down to Valentino who did exactly what he said he did!! Valentino wasn't blaming anybody, especially Jonathan, it was just one of those things! Secondly, Valentino still has it no matter what some people say and next year is going to be good, very good! Can't wait!!
