Gutted Cal didnt podium, though realise Dovi has considerable experience in Moto Gp - admitted he aint an alien but have to give him credit for all that rolling around behind 99,ped,27 and vr all those years.
It's all part of the learning curve cal, don't sweat.

Listen to yerself. He shouldn't of let him past ... What are you talking about , like any rider actually let's someone pass . If they're going for it there's pretty much nothing you can do ...

Cal's problem is that Dovi very, very rarely makes a mistake, while he made several. Not disastrous ones, but a couple of incidences of running wide is all it takes. It's very hard to run at that pace without ever making an error, but that's what's needed to beat Dovi. Not easy!

A good ride nonetheless.

Agree with Don.

Dovi is very consistent and has been through the HRC school of racecraft with the benefit of CS & DPs data.

Hats off to AD he is solid but had his chance on the Hondas - outraced by Stoner and Pedrosa, now he's sold his soul to Ducati. He may earn more money but likely to be at the back of the pack next year

Crutchlow is a pleasure to watch on the track and on the camera. He has raw talent and is absorbing all the media pressure and race experience and converting it into front row starts and podium battles which is fantastic to watch.

Don and buildbase barry got it right.

Its all about the experience (talent and ability is a given obviously), the odd mistake from cal does frustrate but he has shown the pace. I mean look at bradl, that is one quick lad on the lcr, stunning form of late. with experience could go on.
Honda look to have a family of young talent now.

I would love to see some of the experts here try to get passed Dovi on a race track.Shouldnt have let him pass my a$$!
Dovi is a terrier who knows how to race.Crutchlow knows and respects this.He knew he would have a hard time trying to get by him.

A mature response from Cal. A response like this makes a the achievement seem more impressive than that of a rider who whinges about things like having trouble with tyres or whatever.

Cal's been showing more of this sort of attitude this season. Hopefully it will help him improve as a rider. Once you can admit that you were beaten by a better rider then you can look at how you can get better yourself. If you always blame your equipment (like some) then you'll never admit that anybody else is better than you so you won't try to improve.

Now go for it Cal and secure that fifth place.

Oh and @the truth hurts the fact is Dovi beat Cal because he rode better. If Cal knows he's going to have trouble getting past Dovi he shouldn't let Dovi pass him in the first place. No point qualifying on the front row if you're going to let the second row come past you. That's not to take anything away from Cal, fourth is one hell of an achievement. But his fans need to be as mature about it as him.

"A mature response from Cal. A response like this makes a the achievement seem more impressive than that of a rider who whinges about things like having trouble with tyres or whatever."

Let's be honest. Cal's responses all year have been of how Dovi's bike is superior in braking and straight line speed, verbally blasting other riders, and telling us how he had the pace to be on the podium when the timing sheets say he clearly didn't. Cal has obviously been having media-training, so his responses will now be predictable if nothing else.

On the flip-side, he may not shoot his mouth off and almost do himself out of a contract like he did this year.

"If you always blame your equipment (like some) then you'll never admit that anybody else is better than you so you won't try to improve."

Besides being complete nonsense, Cal has proved that Casey's biggest problem with large parts of the British public is that he's not British.

Anyway, a good ride from Cal. Clearly had the pace in the

Another solid ride from Cal, I think its beyond question now that he belongs in this paddock despite the gnashing of teeth from his detractors.
His frustration and eagerness still gets the better of him at times resulting in lunges that aren't going to work on a guy like Dovi and small mistakes that take him off line...the contrast with the calm demeanor of Dovi no matter how much pressure is applied is clear, Cal is getting a good schooling from his highly underrated team-mate, it will serve him well in the future. They both now have Ben Spies well beat, on track and in the head.
