Throw both groups into the ring together, on a track with somewhat comparable lap times, and let's see a WSBK vs MotoGP battle royale .... I'd watch that.

I don't really know enough about the business end of this, but if it somehow manages to elevate bike racing so more and more people watch both championships, then I hope it works out. I'll wait and see though

last I looked MotoGP was the crown jule of Dorna/Spain, WSBK has more Italian interest, but not it looks like WSBK will be dumbed/slowed down to keep MotoGP floating, just a guess.

They're already owned as they said by the same company for one year so combining some administrative items shouldn't be an issue. The problem is if one of the two series isn't doing will finanically will they then merge the series into one. However, if they're serious about keeping both series separate and they stick to their words then it shouldn't result into a problem.

it's pretty obvious... it's exactly what happens in the stock market, the big declining company without ideas (motoGP), buys the smaller successful company which is growing fast (WSBK)
