This just shows how much S**T MotoGP is in right now. Look at Sundays race compared to the 2 BSB races. They were leagues apart in entertainment value.

I hope Dorna doesn't ruin WSBK as the racing is brilliant there. I feel that the main reason that MotoGP is still drawing more of a crowd is because Rossi is there, I'm not trying to sound biased but most fans watch it to see him. If he were to jump ship to WSBK in 2015 then MotoGP would be in deep s**t if the racing doesn't improve... FAST!

At present I'd much rather watch WSBK!

@MOI:

Good points, but why do they not tune the bikes to a level where by a electronic package is not needed, as it seems that on one hand engineers are extracting more BHP only for another set of engineers to detune it electronically it's just a crazy waste of money and i am sure race goers cannot tell the difference between 190 and 230 mph

DORNA will now proceed to reduce the audience appeal of the WSBK in an effort to more the fans back to MotoGP. The will not do this by making the MotoGP more interesting, but by making the WSBK less interestings.
Why, becasue the frame work of MotoGP is more about the High Profile status of the Manamgament team than the team, they want to make it like the F1 where they, the manamgemnt team, feel like Gods of all the survey.

Get rid of Camrmelo that will be great for both WSBK and MotoGP. F1 will be better off with out Bernie.

come on, Bridgepoint are in for business, not to cheer for one series vs the other...

they will try to maximize value of both series while reducing costs.

and who says is Ezpeleta who runs the show?!?, actually the news are that Infront will be marketing and advisor for both championship, not Dorna.

I try to understand what's happening to the global economy, but to dumbdown the technological advances of the prototype bikes is almost tantamount to blaming the bike manufacturers that are still standing strong/loaded with cash.

In this world economy, it's a needed change. WSBK is production based right? Why not place a couple restrictions to make it both more affordable & competitive? MotoGP needs this to remain the premiere class it was meant to be. WSBK machines are nothing close to the bikes rolling off the showroom floor & we all know that the best riders getting onto the best machines makes the racing even more lopsided. I'm all for the advancement of technology, but when it gets so expensive that only the deepest of pockets ever have a chance of creating a winning machine, that leads to processional racing. Even the fields machinery at a slightly more economical level & let the best rider win!

The manufacturers are to blame for the current state of MotoGP. They've been basking in the profits from SBK & become ignorant by showcasing all their new tech in the wrong series, becoming greedy/selfish by not making basically the same tech available to satellite/private teams in GP at a decent price. Why the heck wouldn't Yam, Hon & Duc want the other GP teams to be more competitive? Their names will still be synonymous with wins/podiums. They only focus on Factory team, Factory team, Factory team.

At last Dorna have realised the serious state MotoGP is in!!! W.S.B. has been the better serious for a few years now so it has taken a bit of time for the penny to drop - but better late than never! This might have been a reason why Jonathan Rea decided to stay with W.S.B.!
