Why is he bothering?
He has proved beyond a shadow of a doubt to all that he is by far the quickest in GP.
His personality mightn't be the sunny kind of guy the media love, and he does moan a bit, but you only have to listen to the engine of his bike on a fast practice lap to know he tortures a bike over and beyond the skill set of most mortals.
Perhaps he grew tired of the Spanish League, maybe he will take up golf or some other really dangerous sport, whatever he does in the future he has been a meteor through the sport of road racing.

I think this is a bad move for Casey for me there is alot more to loose than to win. He must have had approval from the boss at home tho. This guy is one of the most exceptional talents on the track I have ever seen but there is more to being a racer these days than being mega fast on track and Casey's attitude leaves alot to be desired he does not know how to deal with the public unless he is getting admiring adulation and that is exactly the reason he is jacking MOTOGP in because he feels he deserves more attention than such as Rossi because he has proven he is faster on track. Respect is earned in the pits on camera as well good luck for the future!

I have been hanging around paddocks, both local and international, for over 45 years getting autographs and photographs with my motor racing heroes. I have lost count of the number of times I have encountered and grumpy driver/rider. The same a-hole who refuses to pose for a photo of give and autograph at one meeting will be all smiles and joviality at the next. So I a not surprised Stoner, on this one occasion, was a complete and utter turd. I have had an Italian rider (guess which one) rip out the page program when asked for his autograph. I have been told on more than one occasion to fornicate off. Stoner gave a $100,000 car to the RFDS charity last year. I bet you didn't hear about that in the motorcycle press!

re: "but im just like you guys, trying to pay the bills and enjoy riding my bike."

nothing against, but there's strange parallel between this, effenbert liberty, and the speedmaster CRT. or should i say... the (not much) speedmaster CRT...?
