Seriously, Smith a very talented rider who has proven himself in the lower categories, beating the worlds best on several occasions during his 125 days and riding what is clearly an 'inferior' moto2 machine yet still getting decent results week on week.

I am a massive Redding fan too so don't get me wrong I think he needs to be on a motogp bike, but if you were to look purely at results, for a british rider, Smith has clearly got the upper hand!

Bradley had already earned his place with Tech 3 before this years racing had started, he deserves it. Scott also deserves a motogp seat, think he'd be good on the last Honda seat but that won't happen, Johnny Rea would have been too but as he's now signed for Ten Kate again maybe 2014 for that seat as honda like him

"not merit" you're mad Bradley is really good and the tech3 moto2 bike not been the best, he's developed it from being a complete dog, also he must be doing something right or Herve would not have picked him to ride the Yam

Ok, so if some are saying that Smith does not deserve the tech 3 ride based on his results from the last 2 seasons, then by that logic, Rossi does DEFINATLY not deserve the factory M1 seat based on his results from the last 2 seasons either! Right?

Cripes! lets hope Marquez brings some life to the category? Otherwise Lorenzo will smash em all again. Big ask for a rookie. Poor old Dani for the next two seasons! he's quick but too fragile. Give Bradl a chance! Unfortuneatley Spies will be back in the AMA for 2014 and smashing them there after a piss poor 2013 season. And No. 1 hope is too see some of the Rossi of old. Please, please win another MotoGP race (or more) before you retire. Please let it be the bike not the rider. Regards from Casey the Soothsayer, you'll miss me!

.... i still think there aren't enough teams and riders in Motogp...looks like 2013 is going to be the same...a too smaller field of riders making for pretty boring racing and all too spread out.
I went to san marino to watch the motogp this 2 and 3 were much more interesting and fun to watch compared to the motogp class due to there being many more riders. At some point i would love to see kawasaki, aprilla, bmw and suzuki all involved fully in motogp...and i dont mean crt or just one bike.

i respect Smith, and i like it,
but while Randy de Puniet still suffering on CRT...

give a Tech 3 to Smith...
but only if RdP have a factory M1...

give a factory RCV to Marquez, only if Bautista
at least have good matherial...

that ******* world is crazy...
