“At the moment, we're still missing a couple of tenths with our pace to think of the podium” – Valentino Rossi.

@ lone warrior and Thor

Vilas is a grown man (presumably) who is capable of fighting his own battles, and Locks, along with a few others have already called out the idiots. People have been absent because THEY HAVE JOBS. I work 4-10's plus a bunch of overtime (police work is demanding) and I have to make time to still hit the gym 4 days a week. I don't have time to sit online everyday and read a bunch of asinine comments (..that are likely made by the same few people using various pseudonyms). When something worthwhile is stated, people will respond. Otherwise.......*crickets*

Its funny how the top speed advantage nonsense is always used when you mention 2007.If top speed advantage is such a huge factor in winning a race,why isnt Rossi leading the championship.Because the Ducati has consistantly been the quickest bike through the speed traps nearly all season!

@Vilas

when did Stoner start outperforming DP,u know?- from the get go in test of Valencia 2010.ever since he was always ahead ofDP in relativity.
rolled this season,with dramatic chances of rule set,Casey just started the first 4 races pretty well(3-1-1-2) and was leading the championship untill again new programmed tyres were introduced,which I think what really pissed Casey off,that made him say 'Bye'!.
And I think Repsol saw a good chance in that to write something on HRC's paper-There was the time DP started looking better(actually level) than CS.
If Stoner could win on the wobbling Ducati or win Championship on RCV at his first attempt that Dani couldn't for years,but he can not this year,there must be something politically wrong.
are you that serious to doubt his bizzare talent?

Vilas,

Tell me, what heppened to Rossi in 2011 and 2012? By you trying to point out that Rossi got the tires and electronics package pretty much proves my point, he cannot win without the best package. The same argument you are trying to make about Stoner, is applied to Rossi (which in your mind doesn't count) which makes you a hypocrite.

The Yamaha was (Arguably) the best bike in 2008 and 2009. I guess that means Rossi can only win on the best bike huh? Hypocrite.

Bringing up Casey's tenure on the Ducati doesn't help your argument about Rossi, it actually does the opposite. As the brigade likes to point out Hayden's comments about the Ducati being the best Ducati he's ridden, this means it's better than what Stoner had. Don't you think the GoOAT should actually be able to win on it seeing how he is a superior rider?

Apparently not.

Rossi really needs to drop the stupid "Doctor" title which implied he could fix anything, he obviously can't & this proves how false the guy really is. Hope Lorenzo, Pedrosa & Dovi whoop him next year!

Dovi will do worse than Vale. Remember the start of 2011 when Dovi was on a factory HRC and he was fighting with Rossi to the line on several tracks. No doubt who is quicker.
