Danny Kent takes pole position for the Japanese Moto3 Grand Prix at Motegi.

Kent obviously has the raw speed but his race performances haven't reflected his potential this year. His rapid increase in height size means that he would have problems staying another year in Moto3, so it makes sense to move up to Moto2 where he will continue to get the experience he needs to improve his race craft.

Regardless of how anyone feels his season has gone, and there is probably room for a little improvement even if some factors are out of his control(height), you'd have to be very hard-hearted not to will him to win tomorrow after that excellent performance in qualifying.
