Other than starting in the front row, which is important not to be tangled with other riders in the first turn, pole position means nothing.

It should be awarded with a couple of extra points, I think.

How about "chinese burn"? As in "Jorge gave Dani a chinese burn in qualifying today"?

pole for JLO means nothing as Dani is on the front row and will be leading into turn one anyway dude is killer at the starts......

i hope JLO falls off so we have a "championship" on our hands!

Have to agree with you there JLO is riding great I am a stoner fan but I like JLO I like the respect they have for each other also Dani good to see.Also would not write Pedro of for the win tomorrow.

@Ron, what's wrong with the word psychological in this context? The headline is absolutely spot on. Nicking pole by a few hundredths is one thing, but a quarter of a second better than Dani's best is going to have Dani worrying. And if Dani is worried that's a psychological advantage if ever there was one.

Of course if you're such a lexicological genius why don't you come up with an alternative?
