the 1 yr anniversary of the "loss heard round the world". i say no better opportunity than to remind ourselves of the need to "stay vigilante" and rededicate ourselves to addressing matters of safety. marco would want it this way, kenny roberts wants it this way, and nicky... SURE AS HELL wants it this way.

sadly nothing (but nothing) will bring him back. the only thing we CAN do is constructively ACT going forward. each one of us OWES that to him. payback for the years of entertainment he risked everything to provide US. here is your empowerment.

@ V5

Yes it is a coincidence but do you know the real reason for being called Sic?
When he was in 250's he was racing against Julian Simon who had 'Sim' in the positions counter on screen so Marco opted to have 'Sic'to save any confusion.
Then we as fans aptly named him "Super Sic" and that moniker will be with him and us forever.
God Bless #58

A wonderful person with the personality to match, and that is why I think his loss is felt by so many people. Just tragic for everyone. He used to visit under privileged children and the Simoncelli Foundation, set up in his name, will ensure that his memory will live on for a very long time. Ciao Marco.

You can show your support and respect for Marco and do some good for motorcycle racers into the bargain. You can still get these 100 percent to charity stickers of the great Man's "58" plate on ebay - just search for "simoncelli charity" and you should see it as the first response...

I miss you Marco..... - Unregistered

Night is starting to fall on the Sepang circuit, and some are turning their eyes to the heavens above, hoping to find a star with the number 58 etched on it.

Super Sic was a breath of fresh Hair. Sadly missed.

Hope Rossi can repeat what he did in Sepang 2010 for his pal:-)

Cao Marco, I'll never get over that moment. As a father of a racer myself I can only imagine the pain that the family still feels. It's a brutal sport.
God Bless you Marco, God Bless the Simoncelli family.
The only condolence can be that he died doing what he loved.
