Just another spoilt spanish rider. What a discrace. Will never be a great rider because great riders make do and never quit. Hope he fails at what ever he does

as a couple of people have already said, there seems to be more to this than has been said in the official interviews. Rumour has it Red Bull KTM and Aspar both submitted contracts to Maverick's manager, who then kept them from Maverick in order to keep him with Avintia. As has been said, that's a major conflict of interests, and maybe one that should have been sorted out sooner rather than letting it come to a head like this. Don't get me wrong, I'm not a massive fan of Maverick but, if these rumours are true, you can't really blame him for walking out on the team.

I dont blain him.. the kis whants to be competitive!! I allready had talck about ktm and Honda, loocks like only for 2013 Honda will try somethingh to close the gap but for now KTM is the Power.. He is fighint against that but riding this bikes that are esay to handle and basacly one Powerfull engine is what they need its hard stuff and is getting tired of that, he was to be the WC this year and because of that lack of Power hw will be beated by Salom.. 4sure he will fix is future with KTM now

Feel sorry for the young guy! He's been riding his butt off on a clearly slower bike, getting results and not getting the recognition which in turn brings the rewards of better machinery, more options and more money.
Hope he sees some sense though and looks at motoGP to see that being the most popular, always having the best equipment and the rule makers wrapped around your finger eventually highlights your defficiencies as a competitor.
Stick with it Maverick, remember it's motorcycle racing, not American Idol.

I notice Aspar haven't signed a rider alongside Folger for 2013 yet. Martinez said in an interview that he wanted a Spaniard capable of winning the championship to partner Folger for 2013, I think I see Folger + Vinales in Aspar colours next year! The reason I say Aspar and not the Ajo squad is because they have already signed Salom and they have the recent Rookies Cup champion Florian Alt stepping in to the team next year.

This has nothing what so ever to do with the bike or the riders ability. His manager has tried to screw him over so he has done the only thing he could do walk.
