What a whiny brat Vinales is. If he didn't like the bike, then why sign for two more years? Yes, his manager screwed him but Vinales should have been more involved in these matters that seriously affect his future. If he wanted to ride for KTM, I am sure he knows where to find them. I hope Vinales gets exactly the ride that he wants and STILL loses the championship(again)next year.

If these comments about his manager are true then fair play to the lad!
He will have absolutely no trouble finding a top ride seeing as he was the favourite to win the championship in the earlier part of the season.
This kid is destined for great things i'm sure.

@ Hmmmm, no mention of other contract offers/rumors from the young lad himself only reinforces that these are untrue & thus "rumors". He is just a little boy who needs a time out in his room.

If they are in fact true, his lawyer would certainly tell him to keep his mouth shut. Just because he has not mentioned them doesn't mean it is not true.

I like how there isn't all sides to the story and people are wanting to lable him as a brat, spoiled, etc etc.

@kiwibob sorry mate, but contracts these days are water tight. They've had lawyers all over them. It's big business and as such you're always going to find lawyers. Always assuming this new contract actually exists as a fully fledged contract and not just a letter of intent to enter into exclusive negotiations.

Back in the seventies many riders contracts were one page affairs. Hell many riders didn't even have a contract as such, it was little more than a handshake. Now those contracts weren't worth the paper they were written on.

I bet you all Mav has to do is find a way to show that his manager did him 'harm' in order to null/void the contract. The conflict of interest is pretty clear, shouldnt be too hard to nail his former manager to a cross. If the rumors are true. Mav on an Ajo-Redbull-ktm-Repsol bike (ala Marquez) would destroy the field next year.

Even Marc Marquez was on a KTM/Derbi powered bike in 125cc... lolz. Honda are only getting Repsol support because of their support by the ALzamora slosh, which will go no where, because that/those group/interests are only really interested in Marc Marquez becoming the next Rossi to fill their coffers.

i wouldn't be surprized if Avinta sued Vinales for "Breach of Contract". This kid should have has somebody other than the Team Manager, Managing his career.
Looks like WSS for you "Honey Boo Boo".

(this is under the assumption that the team manager deceived Maverick)

sorry bud, but you cant 'form' a contract if its under false pretenses, even if its signed its invalid, because the terms to which the contract was signed were not true.

consensus ad idem.

Maverick offered to finish off the season but team manager was willing to see him harmed. I have no issues with Mav ditching that team if its true the manager was being a bs artist. If anything Maverick should sue the former manager for losses incurred should he not have the opportunities that were on the table before this all came to pieces.

cant say much for the crowd that consistently appeals to authority, sucks their thumbs and shakes their hands at boxes with lights coming out of them, sad testament that is.

Can appreciate his frustrations to a degree but the bike is not that much of a dog if he has managed to get to second in the championship.

Whatever the circumstances behind the scenes, that is largely hearsay and speculation, it is a bit short-term-ist to walk out of second place and the team.

Even at this early stage it might be career suicide given he was coming across a little green and temperamental. Teams like riders that show their metal and there are a litany of talented riders who teams and sponsors stay clear of because of their temperament.

And feel cheated out of what might have been a few interesting rounds left in the season.

This whole story is so mashed up it is incredible.
If it is true that Maverick walked out because his own personal manager deceived him, why didnt he come out and say thats why he walked, rather than say the team cant provide him a winning bike.

Also why would any other team talk to Mavericks team manager with better offers without ensuring at the same time Maverick and or the family knew what was being offered?

Something just isnt right in this story, but no matter what by not racing Maverick is doing himslef no favours at all for his future. Racers "race", and do their talking on the track. We dont need another JK (from USA)in GP's!!
