MotoGP » Pedrosa: We've been lucky

“We've been lucky to have first practice in the dry... as we've seen in the last few days, sooner or later it rains here" - Dani Pedrosa.

A part wet track on race day is one thing, in practice it's another altogether. The teams have a limited supply of wet tyres so they don't want to trash a set, which they would do running on such a track.

Anyhow looking at the forecast it's almost certain we're looking at a wet race. Practicing on a partly wet or a drying track won't help much when it comes to practicing for a wet race. And when it rains out there it really rains so a wet track is a very wet track.

One thing that worries me about Dani's statement is his comment about wheel balance. Surely Honda have the plant to balance a wheel at the circuit, if they don't I'm sure Bridgestone do. So why if the wheel judder was bad enough to be worth a comment did Dani not come in and get the wheel balanced? It doesn't take long.

It would be a great idea if they could use a big hair dryer on the track just before the race that way EVERY race could be really predictable and boring and they would just need to use slicks all the time (this is more eco friendly) You know.... a bit like a snow plough with a giant fan or heater on it - what do you think fans? Sam?????
