...Honda, Yamaha, Jorge, Casey and Dani feel that way as well. Doesn't diminish at all what Rossi has done, just as what Rossi has done in the past doesn't diminsh what the others have done against him.

The fact of the matter is that the Ducati is crap. In 2007 the Ducati was great but Stoner was also spectacular in what he achieved on it. However, even Stoner suffered over his next 3 years on the Ducati.Lancethehooligan.

Yes Lance Stoner did suffer because of a lack of investment in his bike, and the progress shown by Honda and Yamaha.BUT,even with all his troubles,he still won races didnt he?
No matter how superior the opposition became,he still won races didnt he?
Why cant Rossi do the same?

Possible reason VR go to ducati (my sight):
1. Ambition to win on most bike, result:fail
2. Ambition to win on italian bike, result:fail
3. Arrogant (CS fast & could win, so he would better), result:fail
4. Ambition to his 8-th MGP WC on italian bike, result: fail
5. Arrogant (Could develop all bike), result:fail
6. fullfill his pocket, result:success

I still dont know what his real reason...

Sure thing R1, whatever you say R1, hey everyone the great R1 has told us all to shut up and stop calling Rossi, gee were so sorry R1 to offend your delicate fragile feelings by daring to call your hero a fraud and Casey as the greatest, still you know best R1.

Choosing stats to suit your point is fine, although you could have said that he failed to score any points in 2 out of his last 4.Codger.

But you cant get away with the fact that Stoner won 3 of the last 5 races Codger.
And it was THIS winning bike that Stoner handed over to Rossi.
What has happened since?
Total and utter failure.
No point juggling stats.Facts are facts.Rossi said Stoner wasnt riding the Ducati hard enough, yet has spent the last 2 seasons making a complete fool of himself trying to prove it!
And failing miserably!

In my opinion which is not really worth that much to be fair however I have been watching GP since 1976 Rossi WAS one of the greatest of all time but I'm afraid that fight appears to have been lost and I hope I'm wrong but I think he will be significantly slower than the top guys on the Yamaha that last 1 to 2 % of commitment is so very hard to recapture once lost. I think its a shame to see such an inspiring racer fail so big on the biggest stage of all GO VALE! ON THE Yamaha I hope!

Anyone mention that Vali has 9 championships yet,hey just thinking that line must be the biggest disclaimer/excuse used on crashvet.

Come on Ducati save face and sack him and get the programe rolling for next year,Nicky gets new swing arm 3 races after Rossi, come on Ducati sack your selves.

Guys please stop being silly calling Stoner the greatest of all time He may be one of the fastest of all time but the greatest must consitute career championship wins longevity and diversity Casey never won a championship in either 125 or 250 and he has only won 2 world titles in the big class certainly dominent and without doubt mega mega fast the gretest of all time he's not could have been possibly if he stook sround to prove it! good luck in your retirement Mr Stoner!

Stoner is also being battered by his team mate this year. Stoner is the fastest racer of his generation, and the best Ducati rider ever. But mpg is about racing, is he the greatest racer ever, no chance not even top 5. Stoners race times on the Ducati would have got him no-where against the current Hondas and yamahas, and that's on a Bridgestone that suited the bike way better than the current does. Wait till next year dovi will be pants on the Ducati and Rossi, even at 34 will be up there.

Losing against you team mate, giving up at 27, giving up at Ducati ......, Rossi maybe Shyte on the Ducati but at least he's trying, imagine the flouncing if stoner was still there?
