MotoGP » Lucky escape for Lorenzo

“In the last lap I almost crashed. I have been very, very lucky because one '0' here would mean the championship was much more difficult” – Jorge Lorenzo.

Race direction were absolutely right to stop the race.Riders were going down like skittles. It just so happens that Lorenzo was the one who first started calling it.It would have been stopped eventually anyway. But it has to be said,Stoner was catching him.Would he have caught and past him by race end?
Who knows. But safety comes first and foremost every time as far as i am concerned.

When u r in the verge of winning something like a motogp championship, especially when u r leading it by 28 points, and knowing that it will become 23 points, plus having in mind that it might become only 3 points in these conditions, Jorge did a fantastic job. He would be a worthy champion. But Dani too would be one. good luck to both. Hope it rains in PI..only way motogp races become excitin...

Honestly I can't believe some of the comments on here about the conditions. Yes conditions worsened but not to the extent as they got after 15 mins, when water started to accumulate. Don't people remember Indianpolis 2008? We all know what track surface is like there, rainstorm came and they completed 4 laps in those conditions before red flag came out.

Another interesting thing about today's race is that out of the riders who crashed most went with rear 'soft' tyre. Make what you want of that... There were Stoner and Dani today pushing at high pace when conditions worsened, Lorenzo messed up big time with the tyre choice and had nothing left. That's why the desperation to get the race stopped. Joke of a situation. Not for the first time though..

What a load of ****, all these conspiracies about Dorna letting Lorenzo take the championship. In terms of fan base maybe Lorenzo has more but most of the gp world are routing for Pedro to take the title. They would not deliberately prevent him doing so. If the final races were battles for the championship the viewing figures and publicity would be massive. Dorna played absolutely no part in Danis loss.

Actually, I'm pretty sure Dorna would rather have that title go to Pedrosa than Lorenzo (who has already one MotoGP title under his belt).

Lorenzo had been asking for the race to be stopped since the previous lap, and he was not the only one. So most of the posts here criticizing Jorge Lorenzo are pointless.

It's blatantly obvious that Rossi fans, without anything to gloat about turn their attentions to hating anyone that's ever had the measure of their idol.

Stoner hated on Crash.net?...check
Lorenzo hated on Crash.net?...check

Pedrosa hated on Crash.net?...wait until next season when he's pasting Rossi.

Regardless of Jorge's hand, there was standing water in braking areas. Two more laps and it would have been carnage, with maybe a CRT winning. It looks cynical but the water was plain for all to see. I hope everyone's fit for PI. Is it the case that this race is scheduled for a time notorious for monsoons in that part of the world? If drone need a wake up call, that's the reason why. I think everyone who got points today is happy about it, and Dani is keeping the pressure on. If Jorge's as yellow (aye right!) as some think here, he could have some worries returning to the place of his big crash last year.

COME ON JORGE even I can slid the front end further on ICE, never mind water. That slide was a walk in the park for no.99. I nearly fell off my chair laughing. On kidding about fraud 99. You are a GOD. But please don't insult my intelligence.

Yamaha has not updated the bike since the recess. Lorenzo's crew is left to work on setup only.

I wonder why they haven't updated the bike if they're going to use it into next year.
