MotoGP » Lucky escape for Lorenzo

“In the last lap I almost crashed. I have been very, very lucky because one '0' here would mean the championship was much more difficult” – Jorge Lorenzo.

@rogerio... lorenzo isnt the only rider riding at 200 mph(320 km/h) . yes it was a heavy rain but that rain affected all riders not only lorenzo. to raise your hand exactly when one of your rivals catch you is not exactly what a true champion does... to red flag a race exactly cause just one rider raises his hand its a strange decision

That's because they know Stoner's much better in the wet than they are. But it could easily have ended badly for any of them, including Stoner. Stoner also said earlier that he seriously considered not racing at all because of the weather, because any crash is probably the end of his season, and therefore career.

I find it a bit rich that people call Lorenzo a "chicken" for putting his hand up. They all stood solemnly at turn 11 on Friday, remembering Simoncelli, and understanding the potential of this sport. Lorenzo went very close to coming off at the end of the straight. He was barely able to control his bike at that point, and the rain was getting worse. He has every right to call it as he sees it.

You don't compare us with riders mate!
I bet "CHICKEN JORGE" is the word that Dani had the moment race stopped (not by his demand)

"Pedrosa arrested over false boat permit" in april. Now, I already knew that it's not "false permit", because you've prove us that you can "boating on a bike". It's amazing. Cheers.
Lorenzo, you might try it. LOL

@True fan

his career is already over, he QUIT, he won the wc on the honda when it was a perfect bike, now he's struggling on it and his team mate is faster then him so he quit.

how many times have we heard Stoner say "i thought about not racing" or "i pretty much gave up" or "i almost pulled into the pits"

looking forward to not seeing him or hearing his statements in motogp next season,
