MotoGP » Lucky escape for Lorenzo

“In the last lap I almost crashed. I have been very, very lucky because one '0' here would mean the championship was much more difficult” – Jorge Lorenzo.

@Fraud

Yes, the perfect Honda... Not quite the illusion of the "perfect Ducati from 07", but a familiar story in the face of a dominating performance from someone you don't accept.

Funny, there were 3 "perfect" factory Hondas last year. How many races did the other ones win altogether? From memory, Stoner won 10, Dani won 3, Marco didn't get a win. That "perfect bike" was custom made for Dani. Stoner must have been lucky.

No disrespect to Dani - he was taken out through no fault of his own, and didn't get a full season. And dispite Marco's mistake on Dani, Marco was always entertaining to watch. Maybe your memory is different, and it probably is quite a lot different!

But at least you won't have to "see him or hear his statements" anymore. Must be a big relief for you. I'm sorry for you that he caused you such deep distress. I think for sure you are very angry right now, but that's racing.

I for one agree with DORNA's decision to stop the race.

But what i dont agree is Jorge raising hand to stop it like he has authority to do it. (even though i think the race stopping decision was taken before he raised his hand).

In 2008 indianpolis conditions were worse than today. Valetino was leading but he didnt put his hand up to stop the race and carried on in those mean conditions. (the man people hate now)

the only bad decision lorenzo took is to raise his hand like he is the boss .... if a rider is uncomfortable he should slow down not suggest to stop the race.

It's a shame that "flag to flag" doesn't mean that at all? If you go out on the wrong tyre or the conditions don't suit...slow down, don't call the end to the race. In the good old days, it was up to the guy leading to call an end to the race...not the guy in second with so much to lose.There is no doubt that Jorge can ride, but he was wrong today. Anyway, I think I'm getting back into WSBK...I think what Casey says about Motogp is true....

Aim not shure that if is the World Champion that can wave is hand or if its the leader of Champion..!! I think its the WC so only Casey could have advice the direction of the dangerous!! Anyway Dani was leading the race and he didnt do nothingh, this result was also good to him.. But for exemple he was happy after they tell that the race was over.. He was happy because Lorenzo would get a new tyre if not if that bikes have to be the same all bet he whant to restart, this way he could win and Lorenzo maybe crash but 4sure he would loss the 2 place and even more..

"One zero here and the championship would have been much more difficult, but second is good."

"Conditions were not so wet so I pushed at the beginning to create a big advantage I could administrate, but when it rained a lot I had no tyre and I was struggling even more than them Pedrosa and Casey Stoner."

and that exactly why Jorge gestured for RD to stop the race.

we have seen wet races just like this before, what right does JLo have to put his hand up and stop it,

just like last year i think it was at silverstone, maybe someone can correct me, but it was poring rain and Sic was chasing down Dovi and aquaplaned down the straight doing 200 plus, i didnt see anyone raise a hand to have that race stopped.

As i said to penalize lorenzo for race simulation. I think he made mistake at turn 15 counting how many points he looses to Pedrosa. People the riders might ba paid for stats but wwhat we get from this ..nothing. Is racing is just for the **** money...
