the doctors have put the fear of god into him that if he comes off again he will lose his foot.
i think yesterdays race in those conditions have restored a lot of confidence the docs are so good at taking away from people with there doomsday crap.
docs once said my kidneys will never work again and will need transplants , i laughed in his face , today they both work 100%.
also told me i could never play rugby again after i lost my spleen , not only did i play again i took up full contact karate at night.
stoner will need to get back to taking his own advice wich is full throttle at all cost , and push loved ones worries to the back off the head.
thats just my opinion from plenty experience.

What a misery - Unregistered

Never have I heard such an appalling post race interview, and from the current champion of the world no less. Clearly the sport makes him miserable and the sooner he leaves the better for him. I suspect however that his miserable outlook has become a habit and he will struggle to drop it in future.

So Pedrosa mentioning his bad chatter during qualifying was not moaning? And Lorenzo bleeting about lack of grip because he wore out the soft compound rain tyres is not moaning? Stoner did not moan..he simply said he as considering not racing. He explained why and that was perfectly reasonable and sensible. Where he says when it was bucketing down with rain he could have won that has been proven countless times. You can't compare the partially wet track with the extremely wet track where he has proven to have an advantage over Pedrosa on many occasions. It is quite legitimate for him to say he might have caught Pedrosa in such conditions. He was also willing to push. If Pedrosa saw him catching at a faster speed do you think he would have diced instead of going for the points?

There has been a fresh wave of unjustified hate for Stoner recently just because some Jurno with an agenda made up an interview cut and paste from things he said over the last 4 years, nothing Stoner has said if taken in context would have raised an eyebrow if Rossi had said it but opinions helped along by bad press are going to be hard to change, anyway great effort by CS, he migt have left it a little late to catch Dani but it could have been close.

I've seen much better poetry on sh*thouse walls.
Fully agree with your comment,my wife after being in an horrific accident in which most of her bones were broken plus severe head injuries, after her first operation the doctor told me she would be a vegetable in a wheelchair I said that's the worst senerio whats the best his answer was the same that was 16 years ago however we are fortunate to have her still with us and far from the picture of the drooling imbecile the doc painted oh and yes she walks.
@Greg. In my day there was an old saying if you believed everything you read you'd eat everything you seen.

Yet another hilarious Crash Thread. Stoner gives a matter of fact summation of his thoughts.... If the race had run full distance in those conditions, he would have had Lorenzo by the end of lap 14, and as the rain got heavier, there's a good chance he could have passed Dani. It was the first wet race Dani has won. Stoner's a dirt tracker. The wet IS his playground. I agreed with the race being stopped though.

The best thing is Stoner's accused of "moaning" and a myriad of other crap by people moaning ad nauseum. Perfect demonstration of projection! They see there own shortcomings in Stoner, and spew hatred for it. That's sad on one level, but very entertaining on another.

@The truth hurts - careful there, or Simon will sue you for definition of character...
@dacron and @samas - ain't that the truth.

"Casey comes off arrogant some times, but I think hes just bitter hes not getting enough support for getting the setup he needs to compete."

Careful, your starting to blur the line between stoner and rossi here.

If this were posted in defense of rossi, would it wash with you?

As for not wanting to race...didnt want to, shouldnt have, did. Thinks and says one thing, does another?

Well done, good race and great result.
