I can see a Repsol Honda 1-2 this weekend (Don't ask me the order!) but it won't matter. Unless someone takes him out or he has a mechanical issue JL will happily tootle around in 3rd clear of the rest of the pack knowing that (at worst) he's taking a 14 point cushion to Valencia.

Lorenzo doesn't have to try too hard, after all a third and a fourth will net him the championship. So I expect to see Dani win, not because he's necessarily the best but because he'll be the only one of the three competitive riders giving it 100%.

I think Casey Moaner will be right back with them this weekend, only a fool would rule him out. He's won the last two by an absolute mile, though I appreciate Lorenzo was injured last year and Dani is a different rider this year. I expect a close fight.

Re Dani, I have been a vocal critic for many years. He has never put together a real fight for a championship before and I felt that after 3-4 years with the main Repsol seat, he should have done better.

But credit where it is due, the last weeks especially he is showing that he can fight JL and CS, so fair play to him, good job. Perhaps too little too late, but at least he is making JL stress a little.

The performance gap between the 2 bikes are getting more and more, the Honda looking better than the Yamaha almost everywhere the last few races. Even tires not helping the Yamaha like earlier the season.

So Jorge's got 2 excuses to come 3rd now.

Hope for a Honda 1-2.
