Considering the injuries to Lorenzo, that everyone keeps calling him such a hero to keep riding with, were never considered serious enough to require surgery (and a chip ISN'T the same as a fracture though it is painful) and were treated in fairly standard ways. Stoner suffered multiple torn ligaments that were torn severely enough to require corrective surgery.

The continued comparison is great fan-boy fodder but to compare them directly hardly does justice to the achievements of EITHER rider

ask any doc, they'll tell you bone healing vs. ligament healing is almost night and day. young or old doesn't even matter. a doc told me that regarding my own situation back in '93. 19 years later i see more clearly.

GOHT!! Just rolls off the tongue. Seems like it may have come from the other end.

And this with only two world championships!!!!!
